Our 290th Birthday Bash

290 I know you are thinking that is one old person. Well actually it is 6 people. Some very good friends of my family and us have been celebrating our birthdays together for years. We just add every one's age up and that is our "age" for the year. We all have birthdays within 3 months of each other. Rich is in July, then Mom, Becky, Dad, & Keri are in August and MaryAnn is in September. We have been celebrating this way for years. We haven't done it every year, but we try to. Below are pictures of the birthday bash...

The 290 Birthday's include:

The Almost Finished Product

Well here is what our Almost Finished project looks like. Aaron has done the majority of the work himself. He has had help from myself, and his buddies Jeff, Mark and Spencer. Jeff has been the one who has spent the countless hours on the car with Aaron and taught him to much to even try to mention it all. Mark helped with some of the welding and laying the carpet on the inside. I mainly got to help clean it and put the 1st round of rattle can primer on it, but it was Spencer who showed Aaron how to paint and got us that much closer to being done.
I call it almost finished because I know it will never be "done". We still have to sand it a little and buff it. Then comes the decals and the outside should be "done". Then we will move to the inside...

Painting the TransAm - Labor Day 2007

Once the measurements were figured out and ater the paint was complete they started on the clear coat...sure did make the garage hazy, but it was worth it!

So much to do....so little time

Well I am ashamed of what Alli's room looks like, but we are still busy getting ready for her in other parts of the house. Aaron's calender says that there are 77 days until my due date. That makes me wonder how everything is going to get done. Guess I better get cracking....

Labor Day at the Shown's

First off we want to take the time to thank the men and women who have served our country. We wouldn't be who we are today with out them. Today we took the time to get together with family and friends to celebrate the holiday. We ate, played cards and enjoyed every ones company. This is a picture of Nanny, Aaron & I working on getting lunch ready.
