Going Potty like a big girl

We are attempting to potty train Alli for the 2nd time. She was almost fully potty trained before Malari arrived, but then regressed...so we are trying again. Here she is showing off her stickers becasue so far today she has gone potty on the big girl potty twice...

Alli got a Tattoo!!!!

There is a historic site just outside of Pleasant Plains called Clayville that has been shut down for several years. Well the Pleasant Plains Historical Society purchased Clayville recently and have been doing a wonderful job of cleaning it up. Over Labor day weekend they held a car show and had other activities there as well such as crafts, there was a person with really neat old guns, plus lots of food and some activities for the kids. Well, here are a few pics of Alli getting her 1st Tattoo. It took us what seemed like forever to pick it out, but I guess that's a good thing, tattoo's are a big decision. She ended up with Blue from Blue's Clues. She wasn't real sure about the lady putting it on, but after it was over she had to show EVERYONE her puppy, LOL. Malari decided that she didn't want a tattoo, she would sleep instead.

A Do it yourself family photo

We wanted a picture of the 4 of us, since the only picture we had of the 4 of us was the day Malari was born...so here is what we got when we attempted to take a family picture by ourselves...at least 1 turned out ok =)

Putting up the swing...

Aaron and I stoped at a re-sale shop one day and bought the girls a new to them swing. Here are a few pictures of Aaron and Alli putting up the swing while Malari & I supervised. Malari & I agree that they did a nice job. Both girls just love it.

We took the girls to the park...

I took the girls into town one day during the week and we met up with Aaron for lunch. We had a sack lunch at the park and then took Alli over to play on the playground equipment. She had a blast, while Malari slept through it all, lol

I find that now that I am home with the girls I don't take nearly as many pics of them as when I wasn't at home...I wonder why that is? I guess because I see them all the time. Anyway, here are just a few more misc. pics we took one night.

Just a few Misc. Pics.

Here are just a few misc pics I took of the girls with my cell phone. For those of you who don't know Alli just LOVES music & Shoes. Well I had to take the picture of her with the harmonica while I was getting my own personal concert, it was wonderful =) Alli also thought Malari needed shoes on, and since we didn't have any with us, she let Malari borrow hers, she does share very nice (when she wants to).

Malari the Babysitter

From time to time Alli needs a sitter for her baby while we do things, like take a bath & get dressed. It really is a good thing that Malari is able to do so on such short notice. She does a really good job to, we never hear baby cry. Alli is sweet and pays her in hugs and kisses when she is able to take care of baby again.

A friend of ours got the girls matching outfits, so here they are looking just as cute as can be!!!!

We went to the St. Louis Zoo

Here are a few pics from our trip to the St. Louis Zoo a couple of weeks ago. We went with some friends and their kids and some other friends of theirs & their kids. Total there ended up being 17 of us. We all had a good time, but I got to visiting with everyone and didn't take many pictures at all...so here is what I do have.

We went to the Zoo on Thursday

I was feeling pretty good, so on Thursday we went to the Henson Robinson Zoo in Springfield. Alli had a good time. She got to pet a donkey, a sheep and a goat. She thought that was pretty neat. Malari slept the whole time, so we were able to stay at the zoo and enjoy it for a couple of hours.

We went to the park on Friday

Since Aaron had a weeks vacation when Malari was born we decided to do some fun things with the girls. We went to the park on Friday with some friends of ours who have a 1 year old. Kameron & Alli always have fun playing together. The 1st picture is Alli showing her sister off to Kameron.

Who's Who???

Everyone keeps asking us if Alli & Malari look alike, so we thought we would let you be the judge. Some people say yes and others no. Here are pictures of both of them the day they were born...who's who??? No cheating!!!!

Alli & Malari

Alli is adjusting very well to being a big sister. She really enjoys helping where she can and holding Malari. She loves to give her hugs and kisses too.

We had lots of visitors...

We had proud grandma's & grandpa's, a great grandma & a great grandpa. There were also proud Uncle's, cousins & friends that were able to join us. Unfortunatly we did not get pictures of everyone, but we did enjoy having everyone visit. We can't wait to get Malari to see the rest of our family and friends who weren't able to make it to the hospital.

Introducing Malari Lynn Shown

Malari was born on 7-6-09 at 11:06 AM. She weighed 7 pounds 5 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long. Alli is adjusting well and loves to hold her baby sister.

Trying to catch up...before the next baby gets here =)

Sorry it has been so long since my last post, I have been on bedrest for 10 weeks now so not much has gone on for me. Here are just a hodge podge of pictures from the last few months. Aaron takes Alli to the park or off to play and takes pictures so that I can see how much fun they are having. Here are a few pics so you can see how much fun they are having as well. I can't wait until the new baby arrives (due date is July 13th) so that I can go out and enjoy the fun too!

Here we are having fun in the snow...at least until the snow went over our mittens and our hands got cold. We lasted about 10 minutes, LOL

Christmas Time

Here are a few pictures from Christmas. Alli had a good time despite all of the hives she had. Here she is in her Christmas outfit, that stayed on for about an hour. She had eaten something that she was allergic to on Tuesday night before Christmas and still had hives on Christmas day. I have more pictures to post for Christmas, but this is all I have time for now...I will try to post more soon. Time sure does fly...

The Big Birthday Bash

Here are a few pictures from our Big Birthday Bash in Nov. Aaron turned 30 on Nov. 13th and Alli turned 1 on Nov. 26th, so we just threw 1 big party. Sorry you have to turn your head on a couple of these pictures, I'm at work and can't get them to rotate for some reason...I will try to fix it later.

Just Haning out at Granny's

Just a few pictures from when we were at Nanny's aka Granny's last weekend (Nov. 1st). Grandma Maggie was in town so we all got together and had breakfast on Sunday at Nanny's.

Halloween at Daycare

For Halloween Alli made Aaron and I a jac-o-lantern, here are some pictures of her painting it, she had a really great time. Then she let Jeanette & Julie (Jeannte's mom) trace her hand for the leave of the jac-o-lantern. It is pretty cute.

There are also pictures of her in her Spider outfit. All the kids brought their costumes and here are a few pictures of them.

The 1st two are of our little spider, then there is Haley as Tinkerbell and then there is Brooks as a Spider, Haley & Alli.
